Removing the old microphone filter
- Preparation: Open the holder with the microphone filter rods and grab one rod. Each rod has two ends:
- One end with a small hook (the removal tip).
- One end with a new microphone filter (the placement tip).
- Removal of the old filter:
- Position the removal tip in the old microphone filter on your hearing aid.
- Pull the old filter straight out of the microphone opening. Be sure to do this straight to avoid damage to the microphone.
Inserting the new microphone filter
- Installation of the new filter:
- Turn the rod over so that the placement tip with the new filter points toward the microphone opening.
- Align the new filter with the microphone opening.
- Confirm:
- Gently push the new filter straight into the microphone opening. Push until the outer ring of the filter is flush with the back of the hearing aid.
- Pull the rod straight out. The new filter should now be firmly in place.
