Drying boxes (with UV)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A drying box is an electronic device which, as the word says, dries your hearing aids. This is important to remove moisture, for example from rain or sweat, from your hearing aids. Some drying boxes also have UV light, which kills 99% of the bacteria in your hearing aids. In some cases, a drying box may also have a built-in battery tester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chargers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Certain hearing aids from Signia, Siemens or Audio service are rechargeable. This is very convenient because then you don\u2019t have to keep buying batteries! A charger is available for these hearing aids. Your hearing care professional can inform you whether your hearing aids are suitable for this Echarger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hearing Aid Batteries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Which batteries go into your hearing aids depends on the brand and type of hearing aid. You can find this out in the user guide. There are four types of batteries, indicated by a number and a color code. P10 (yellow), P13 (orange), P312 (brown) and P675 (blue). So be careful not to buy the wrong batteries! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips & Domes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We recommend cleaning your hearing aids daily, and replacing the tip or dome every month. This will prevent any blockages caused by earwax, for example. We have new tips or domes available for all hearing aids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tubes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A tube is the connection between a BTE hearing aid and the ear canal. When a tube becomes clogged, you can clean it with a cleaning wire, but if the tube is broken, it must be replaced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RIC (or RITE) hearing aids, instead of a tube, use a speaker to carry the sound from the hearing aid to the ear. Should the speaker break, it is easy to replace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hearing aids that use a speaker have a filter against earwax. When this gets clogged it will need to be replaced. You can easily do this yourself. We recommend that you always have some extra filters on hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
