What really irritates us at the moment is the process of returns, especially the difference between shipments that fit through the mailbox and those that don\u2019t. It shouldn\u2019t be very complicated, right? We all have one: a mailbox.   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look, a simple item like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horendgoed.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/71d4-5425-4ea8-bf08-e772cda33f32.jpg\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"11372\">Keychain Globe Airplane Passport<\/a> (super cute, really, nice vacation to the sun idea), which you would think would be quick and easy to return, can quickly become a source of annoyance. It seems so simple: the thing fits through the mailbox just fine, and yet we are always asked, \u201cDoes it fit through the mailbox?\u201d And this is where our frustration begins, because it seems as if the choice to return is determined by free shipping.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And here comes the punchline: <strong>Henk<\/strong>, who, like us, misses the sun a bit, chooses the more expensive option at Bol and does it nice and easy: <strong>pickup service<\/strong> for a keychain of \u20ac8.95. Yep, for a keychain of less than nine euros, Henk chooses the luxury of a parcel service, just because it\u2019s <strong>free<\/strong>. And that, of course, is when we wonder, \u201cWhy didn\u2019t <strong>you<\/strong> just use that bubble envelope and return the keychain easily without that extra cost?\u201d  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Is free really free?<\/strong>  Well, for you as a loyal customer, returns are occasionally free. But for nothing, we pay those return costs.   <strong>Free for you, not free for us.<\/strong>  So it really helps if you just indicate that it fits through the mailbox and then actually mail it. That saves an awful lot. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So <strong>dear Henk<\/strong>, we really appreciate that you put the keychain neatly in the bubble envelope that was also used for the outward journey. That is an environmentally friendly choice. The choice of <strong>duck tape<\/strong> is not really our choice, but okay, we\u2019re not going to be difficult about that. We understand that NASA can work miracles with it, too, so oh well. But please, if given the choice: <strong>Will it fit through the mailbox?<\/strong> Then take a closer look at your pasting and cutting. And then you\u2019re still in doubt? Then try your own mailbox, that thing by the front door where you also found the keychain.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So yes, the next time you need to return something, try to hold back and make the right choice so you don\u2019t incur extra costs for something that just fits through the mailbox. Right? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let the sunshine shine!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It really helps if you just indicate that it will fit through the mailbox and then actually mail it.
