We believe it is important that you, the user, know where you stand \u2013 especially if you suddenly find that something is not working as you are used to. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recently received an important technical notification from Widex that we would like to share with you.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bluetooth accessories temporarily not working with some Widex hearing aids<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you using a <strong>Widex BTE R D hearing aid<\/strong> and suddenly can\u2019t manage to pair your favorite Bluetooth accessories? Then you\u2019re not the only one. Widex has confirmed that there is currently a technical problem with these devices produced <strong>from November 2024<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What exactly is going on?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A modification appears to have been made to a <strong>hardware component<\/strong> of the Widex BTE R D hearing aids. This modification comes from an external supplier. As a result, <strong>pairing with Bluetooth accessories is temporarily not possible<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These include the following Widex accessories:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horendgoed.nl\/fr\/shop\/aides-pour-les-malentendants\/systemes-de-son-pour-la-television\/widex-sound-assist\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"9949\">Widex Sound Assist<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horendgoed.nl\/fr\/shop\/aides-pour-les-malentendants\/transmetteurs-pour-aides-auditives\/widex-soundconnect\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"52322\">Widex SoundConnect<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horendgoed.nl\/shop\/hulpmiddelen-slechthorenden\/tv-geluidssystemen\/widex-tv-play\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"7312\">Widex TV Play<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These accessories normally pair perfectly with your hearing aid, but with the models <strong>produced as of November 2024<\/strong>, this is <strong>not currently possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you recognize if your device has this problem?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Did you recently (late 2024 or early 2025) receive a <strong>Widex BTE R D hearing aid<\/strong> and fail to pair with your Bluetooth accessories? If so, there is a good chance that your device is under affected production. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice that pairing does not work? Please contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horendgoed.nl\/en\/contact\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"62\">customer service team<\/a> \u2013 we will be happy to help you. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will it be resolved?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. Widex is aware of the problem and is currently working on a <strong>firmware update<\/strong> that will enable pairing. It is still <strong>unknown when this update will be available<\/strong>, but as soon as more is known, we will notify you immediately.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until then, it is <strong>not possible to pair the new BTE R D hearing aids with the Bluetooth accessories mentioned above<\/strong>. If you have purchased accessories with your hearing aids, it is wise to wait to use or purchase until the update is available. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We understand that this can be annoying, especially if you just got a new device or wanted to purchase an accessory. Here\u2019s what you can do: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Check your<\/strong> hearing aid <strong>purchase date<\/strong>. Was the device delivered after November 2024? Then the problem may apply.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Please contact us<\/strong> if you are unsure if your device falls under the relevant series.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wait to purchase new accessories<\/strong> until it is certain that coupling is possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have your device registered with your hearing care professional<\/strong> so you will be notified immediately when the firmware update is available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We think with you<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Horend Goed, we understand how important ease of use and good connectivity are in modern hearing aids. Bluetooth functionalities really do make life a lot easier. That makes technical obstacles like this all the more annoying \u2013 but fortunately, there is a solution in sight.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our tip: keep your device well maintained and feel free to come by for a check-up or advice.
