Welcome to Horend Goed! Horend Goed is a real family business. I started Horend Goed in 2014. From a character trait: I can do better. That trait together with a bit of stubbornness we have become a cozy audiciens company with two branches. One in Krommenie and one in Zaandam! That we are a cozy audiciens company is also reflected in our wide customer base, everyone feels at home from young to old.
Hearing aids, hearing and swim plugs have attracted my interest since 1999. Then I started at a small independent audicien, also in the Zaan region. The entrepreneurial spirit has always been in me; every training, course and seminar for hearing aids: I followed them.
Because of the entrepreneurial in me, I started looking further into what I could do as an audiologist besides the store in Zaandam and Krommenie. Therefore, since 2020 I almost no longer work in the store, but am more behind the scenes working on websites and the web shops.

Because of Sandra, my wife, I got into this profession. Before I completed my audiologist training in 2014, I worked as an installer and manager at a wholesale heating, electrical and plumbing company. Strange how things can work out, now I own Horend Goed together with Sandra!
The vision Sandra had, the family business, the friendliness that was right! I go into my work week with a lot of joy because of all the fun and varying clients. Everyone is welcome.
After finishing my training in 2014, I really like to keep an eye on new developments. For that, many manufacturers offer courses! And there are many, since we sell every brand of hearing aid.
I am a precise worker, though. I like measurements, to check if me and the client are doing a good job. Every hearing is different, we have to map that out well together. It’s important to me that my clients understand the possibilities and why. Do you have any questions? Ask them especially! That is again why you should feel at home, I am here for you.

I’m Karin, a certified audiologist since 2018 and for some time now I have enjoyed working at Horend Goed. Originally I come from the always bustling Amsterdam, where you never have to look far for coziness. But fair is fair: the village character of Krommenie has positively surprised me. The friendliness, the familiar faces, the chat at the door – I can really enjoy that.
At Horend Goed, I feel right at home. The store feels like a second living room, my colleagues are all top-notch, and the customers? They make the job complete for me. I am naturally sociable, empathetic and genuinely interested in people. I bring these qualities into my work every day. A good hearing is important, but what matters most to me is the whole picture: how someone feels, what they are up against and how we can come to an appropriate solution together.
In my spare time, I recharge by cuddling with my cats or – slightly less cuddly – feeding the collar parakeets in my garden. Although I pay close attention to this: the cats are just a little too interested in my feathered friends….
Edwin North
Swim Cap King & E-commerce Manager
I’m Ed, Sandra’s brother-in-law and so they call me the swim cap king of Horend Goed. That’s because I provide all the beautiful creations with the pictures and glitter that make them so unique. And I love doing that, because the happy faces of the children (and adults) are very satisfying. We really deliver something special, and I’m proud that so many people even come from far away for “my” swim caps. Want to know what I’ve already made? Take a look at zwemdopje.nl or Instagram!
Outside of my creative exploits, I can be found daily in our warehouse in Schagen, processing the orders that come in through this website and the marketplaces on which we operate, such as Bol.com and Amazon. We also do that in our own, family business style, way. Everything is carefully packed and shipped with lots of love. With every order, we are thankful that someone chooses an independent entrepreneur rather than a large commercial player.
Other than that I am the cuddly bear and joker of Horend Goed. I’m always up for a joke, after all laughter is healthy, and especially making fun of Sandra every now and then is just hilarious. But always, because that’s the core of what we do, with lots of love.

I have been working at Horend Goed as an Audiological Consultant since February 2023. My interest in the profession comes from my own experience as a hearing impaired person.
I have been hard of hearing since birth and have been wearing hearing aids since I was 3 years old. Although I ‘don’t know any better’ this was quite a thing during my entire school period, I especially didn’t want to be different from the rest, my hair loose (so my hearing aids couldn’t be seen) and as little fuss as possible such as e.g. no solo equipment. If I pretended nothing was there then it wasn’t, I thought.
From the age of 20, I did begin to get interested in the profession and started asking questions. Surely there must be another way? I found out that hearing aids innovate incredibly fast, have ever more beautiful and better sound, a crisper appearance, are smaller in size and are available in all kinds of pretty colors. Also, in terms of aids/solo devices, so much is possible. I was amazed and excited, I actually want to know more about this!
During my appointments at Horend Goed I discussed with Robert that I liked the idea of working in a hearing store. Three times was the charm and now I work for over a year in the store in Krommenie. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I am available to help you with the maintenance of your hearing aids, answer questions and make a cup of coffee!
Inge Veldkamp
Hearing Assistant
Hello, my name is Inge and I work as a hearing assistant at Horend Goed. Previously I had my own speech therapy practice and helped children like Merlin, Robert and Sandra’s son. While visiting the store, I saw the vacancy for Saturday help. At first I hesitated, but decided to check it out anyway. Soon I felt a click with the team and the customers.
My background in speech therapy helps me communicate well and show empathy. I enjoy helping people, especially during walk-in consultations for swim caps. My passion for singing and dancing creates a happy atmosphere in the store. So, don’t be surprised if you see me dancing around the store!
It gives me great satisfaction to work with clients and help them with their hearing problems. Feel free to stop by and get to know me. I am ready to help you and answer all your questions.

I’m Sander, an independent communications specialist, but I feel completely part of this amazing team. Before setting up my own company in 2018, I did both agency and client side marketing for several brands, then decided to do it myself with a focus on SMEs and startups and practical, efficient solutions.
I work behind the scenes, but you see quite a lot of me. Among other things, the website, our socials, email and various packaging are designed and managed by me. I am also a sparring partner for Sandra, and we are constantly coming up with new, fun and creative ideas to make Horend Goed even better. We think alike so above all we have a lot of fun!
What’s so great about working for Horend Goed? It’s not small talk. The whole team is genuine and caring. We are working together to provide the best hearing care. And that’s really nice for a marketer, because I never have to “lie” or twist the truth. It’s honest and with integrity, and I’ve experienced that differently before. It’s nice to be able to contribute to a people’s business. It’s real.

All-round Good Boy
Hi, I am Cornelis Dribbel, Sandra and Robert’s corgi. I often accompany Sandra to our warehouse in Schagen. There I provide extra coziness. Sometimes I bark, because I am very watchful but secretly very sweet. I love sheep and tennis balls and also really enjoy testing if our products are animal friendly, like these ear muffs for dogs!
