Bernafon O-Cap filters – reliable protection for your in-the-ear hearing aids

Your hearing instruments deliver top performance every day – and it should be seen (and heard).
To keep sound clear and protect the sensitive technology, good filters are essential. Bernafon O-Cap filters protect the outside of your hearing systems from dust, skin oils, moisture and other contaminants.

As soon as a filter becomes clogged, you notice it immediately: the sound becomes softer or even disappears completely. Replacing the O-Cap filters on time prevents malfunctions and keeps your hearing aid functioning reliably.

Suitable for Bernafon in-the-ear hearing aids

Bernafon O-Cap filters are designed specifically for Bernafon’s in-the-ear (ITE) and CIC hearing aids. These filters are used in the newer series of Bernafon hearing aids, and are designed to perfectly fit the microphone and speaker openings.

Please note that these filters are not universal and are only suitable for Bernafon hearing instruments that work with the O-Cap system. In doubt as to whether this applies to your hearing instrument? Please send us a message – we will be happy to check it for you.

The O-Cap filter is a small but important part of your hearing aid.
It is located on the outside and prevents dirt and moisture from entering the sensitive technology. Especially skin grease, makeup, hairspray and dust can accumulate in the small openings, dampening or completely blocking the sound.

A properly placed filter keeps your hearing aid clean from the inside out and extends the life of the speaker and microphone.

Easy to replace

Bernafon O-Cap filters are designed with ease of use in mind.
The filters come on convenient replacement sticks. With these, you simply remove the old filter and immediately insert the new one – quickly, hygienically and without risk of damage.

1. Use the stick to gently remove the old filter.

2. Turn the stick over and place the new filter in the same opening.

3. Check that the filter is securely attached and test the sound of your hearing aid.

In just a few minutes, your hearing aid will sound like new again.

When to replace?

The frequency of replacement depends on your usage and living environment.
Do you wear your hearing aids daily or use skin or hair products regularly? Then it makes sense to change the filters every 4 to 6 weeks.
When there is reduced sound quality, distortion or loss of sound, the filter is often the cause – time for a new O-Cap!
